What your child will learn

Our classes are all about learning gymnastics, with fun activities that develop gross motor skills, coordination and self-confidence. Classes are high energy, and gymnasts work on:

  • The basics of gymnastics
  • New skills, learned step by step
  • Conditioning: strength and flexibility work
  • Their own level and pace: every child progresses at the speed that suits them

Every class takes place in a fun, happy and respectful environment.

Coached by a club with a track record

Rand Gym has been at the Roosevelt Park Recreation Centre since the 1980s. Over the years the club has produced many regional, provincial and national gymnasts, and Protea gymnasts selected to represent South Africa, both boys and girls.

Rand Gym was one of the first clubs in South Africa to have a foam training pit, which is still used in training every day. A foam pit lets gymnasts practise new skills and land safely in soft foam blocks.

Affiliated to Central Gauteng Gymnastics Association South African Gymnastics Federation

Toddlers from 18 months to almost 3 can join Bounce & Bond on Tuesday mornings with a parent, grandparent or carer.
